Is the AI actually any good?
A year ago, no. It sounded like a robot and people hung up. It is much better now. It waits for the caller to finish and answers if they cut in with a question. Most of them do not realise it is not a person. And it beats voicemail either way.
What happens if they text instead of call?
It texts back and has a proper conversation. Not an auto reply saying sorry we missed you, an actual back and forth that gets the address, gives your price range and books the job. Plenty of people would rather text than talk, and that is most of the point.
Will it quote jobs over the phone?
It gives a rough range you set, like “repairs usually run a few hundred to fifteen hundred.” It never gives a firm price on a job it has not seen, because that is how you end up eating a bad number. It books you to go and look.
What happens if it does not know the answer?
It says so, takes the details and tells them you will come back to them. Then it texts you the whole conversation. It does not guess and it does not invent a price.
What if I want to answer my own phone?
You do. It only picks up when you do not, after however many rings you choose. Or set it to evenings and weekends only, which is when nearly half the calls come in anyway.
Do I need a new phone number?
No. We forward your existing number, so nothing changes for your customers or your truck decals.
How long until it is running?
About 2 weeks. You fill in one form about your services, your hours and a rough price range for each. We build it, test it and switch it on.
Can I hear what it said?
Yes. Every call is recorded and every conversation is texted to you as a transcript, so you can see exactly what was said and what got booked.
